NACCIMA Holds Session on Agric Value Chair
THE Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines
and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has concluded plans to hold a day dialogue session on
measures to improve the nation’s agricultural value chain.
The session, themed
“Enhancing Agricultural Exports through Adequate Financing” would hold
Wednesday in Lagos.
According to a statement,
the session is designed with a view to getting stakeholders in agribusiness to
brainstorm on how to improve on production towards self-sustenance and food
sufficiency as well as exports in Nigeria.
Furthermore, it is also
intended to expose participants to the Federal Government’s Agricultural
Transformation Agenda (ATA).
“The need to get
stakeholders to brainstorm and find a lasting solution to issues as experienced
by Stakeholders in the agriculture value chain in particular and the public in
general informed why NACCIMA is lending its voice in order to promote the
agricultural sector.
“The Hon. Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Commissioner of
Agriculture, Lagos State, Chairmen National Assembly Committee on Agriculture
and other government agric-related agencies have been invited to grace the
event as Special Guests of Honour. Relevant organizations (Federal
Ministry of Agriculture, Bank of Agriculture, Federal Institute of Industrial
Research, Oshodi (FIIRO) and Raw Material Research & Development Council
(RMRDC) and Erudite Discussants have been invited to do justice to the topic”,
the statement read in part.
